This was bought specifically for a Halloween costume and it worked Just fine. Plus I will use it in the spring since it is my daughter's "school color". It is light weight, keeps light breeze off of you and can be folded and compacted enough to fit into a cargo pocket. The stitching is fine and the elastic is tight. The plastic zipper works fine now, but snags easily on the fabric at the bottom.
